“	“Damn! Sandrupes again! Can't I get paid in cash for once? I've eaten nothin' but sandrupes all month...”

Chage is a friendly digger from Potcrock Isle who works with John.

Appearance

Chage is an adult human with fair skin, wide blue eyes, a broad nose, and a wide smile. The top of his head is covered by a shiny red top hat. Chage also wears a loose, light blue t-shirt with a horizontal white stripe, brown pants, and overalls strapped over one shoulder.

Personality

Chage is friendly to Sam and John, acting as an old friend of theirs. Protective of the young Sam, he prevents her from rushing after John to help during the slug invasion, displaying a concern for her wellbeing. Chage also admonishes her to listen to her teacher in class and to attend classes.

Chage expresses frustration at consistently being paid in sandrupe's rather than actual currency. Like many of the diggers, he seems to fear Mayor Hoffman's retribution for suboptimal work performance.
